The sweet smell of cinnamon

Have you noticed that there seems to be 365 recipes in 365 days or the like type blogs/posts popping up all over the place?? Well I have.. and as I'm still unsure what to do with this blog I thought I would use it to record some of the things that I cook. I will also use it to record some of my craft experiments ( I call them experiments because when I sit down to make something I dont alway have a clear idea of how it's going to work out.. I usually jusst plan on playing around)

So today we have an "Apple and Cinnamon Pie". When I did the grocery shopping today they had granny smith apples on special so I threw them in the trolley and then spent the rest of my shopping trip wondering what I was going to do with them.. I decided to turn half of them into baby food for my little man and then remembered how good they smelt last time I was cooking them for him.. and thought of apple pie.

Just like usual I didnt follow a recipe and kind of just threw things together, ended up being

7 Granny Smith Apples
2 tsp Cinnamon Sugar
1 sheet Puff Pastry

Peel and dice the apples, put them into a saucepan with the cinnamon sugar and heat gently until soft. Put in a pie dish and cover with the sheet of puff pastry. Sprinkle with a little castor sugar and place in the oven to gently brown.

I hope to be able to include as much of my cooking and craft adventures as I can and will warn you now that most of them will probaly center around my little man, he is the center of my life!!
